Text Messaging on Menu at new VENUE

Have a look at this press release we did to show how restaurants and Gyms can use SMS text messaging to keep one step ahead...

Welsh technology tycoon Mike Harris has seen numbers triple for Sunday Dinners in his restaurant at Park Hall after harnessing the power of text messaging to contact diners.

Since opening the doors to his leisure complex Mike has seen numbers shoot through the roof, thanks to texting technology provided by txttouch. After only two text broadcasts, the number of diners coming through the doors had more than tripled from 70 diners to 240 diners.

Although the head chef and his team have to take some credit for the mouth-watering dishes which have already gaining an enviable reputation, the response from the texts has been very positive. Mike Harris said: ‘Texting is such a useful way to reach customers our Sunday dinners have become very popular thanks to the ease of communication using SMS. Txttouch is ideal if we have a promotion that we want our customers to hear about, we can contact them all quickly with the added benefit that it’s cheaper than printed materials, meaning we don’t pass costs onto our customers.’

Diners at The Venue can join the texting service by simply texting Venue to 80480, this automatically adds them to the special offer and alerts service.

Txttouch Managing Director, Nicholas Maguire, said: ‘We’re thrilled that The Venue at Park Hall is seeing success with text messaging. Txttouch is most suitable for restaurants as owners can contact all their customers at the touch of a button, with is ideal for dealing with the ebbs and flows of the trade.’

Mike Harris has already taken texting to the next level. He uses texting to contact his temporary and part time staff using txttouch. If The Venue has a sudden rush of customers he sends a message to all his standby staff with details of the shift, then the staff who are available contact him, saving the Venue countless hours trying to contact staff directly by telephone.

The Venue at Park Hall is an all-in-one leisure complex in the heart of Shropshire, which is also home to The New Saints FC, the current Welsh Premier League Champions. Other facilities include ten-pin bowling, bar and health and fitness suite.
