txt 4 property

A SOUTHPORT estate agency is using innovative text messaging software to inform prospective homebuyers of the specifications of properties.

Oakleys Estate Agents, on London Street, is using a service provided by mobile technology company txttouch to text the details of properties to interested buyers at any time of day or night.

A textboard is displayed next to the For Sale sign outside a property and by texting a unique property code to Oakleys, the buyer will receive a text back in the form of 4 bed, 2 recp, glass rf consrv, lrg established gardens, lux oak kitchen with granite, oak hall, family bth with spa, CH, DG, 480k. Call 01704 512121.

Oakleys’ director Andrew Bolton has seen an increasing number of information requests from homebuyers since using the textboards. He said:

“The textboards system has increased the flexibility of our services and means that a wider group of people can now keep up-to-date with properties coming onto the market.

“We have sold a number of properties as a result of people using the textboards system and we envisage this will increase as the boards are used on our full range of properties.”

Nicholas Maguire, Textboards managing director, believes the service will become increasingly popular with estate agents. He said:

“People today lead very busy lives meaning they can’t always contact an estate agent for details of a property when the agency is open.

“The textboards system allows people to find out about a property when they are stood outside it, at a time which is convenient for them. This will increase estate agent’s chances of selling properties as the business is effectively open 24 hours a day.”
